Alberto & Augusto – Long Story Short

Apart from being The Wine Jokers, we are graduates in Economy and Management and have an American experience as background. We started our wine journey as we finished our university studies in Perugia (Umbria, Italy).

After working as sommeliers in a hidden gem in Umbria, we found ourselves very interested in the hospitality industry.

We decided to join the Swiss Hotel Management School in Caux (Montreux, Switzerland), where we learned the secret to improving guests’ experiences and beating their expectations.

Coming from one of the most important wine countries of the old world, we had the chance to develop our palates with Italian domestic grapes, nearly impossible to find anywhere else.

We are currently based in London, working for the Edwardian Hotels.

This changing environment represents the perfect fit for us. As one of the major wine importers, in the UK we expose ourselves to very rare wines.

Our wine journey has just started and everyone can be part of it with the interactive and educational page we recently created.

The Wine Jokers – The Story of A Passion

Many people are attracted to the world of wine. However, the majority of them are pushed away by professional figures who talk about it with very technical and specific words.

Aware of it, The Wine Jokers get everyone involved. How? Using a simple and convenient way to describe whatever is related to the world of wine.

We are going to analyze and discuss very technical topics in an understandable and easy way. That’s why our classes are suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Our logo mirrors our goal and objectives:

A glass of wine filled with the planet earth and an open book in the background.

🍷 The glass of wine represents the passion that always drives us.

🌍 The earth stands for the people, culture, and tradition behind a bottle.

📖 The book stands for all the educational approaches we decided to follow.

The mix of the elements proves that wine requires education to be fully appreciated.

And for those who are wondering why the book is still empty, The Wine Jokers would say: “because we have to fill those pages up with our wine stories all together”.
